Barnsdale provides a home for a huge variety of garden birds, with guest appearances by the residents of nearby Rutland Water, so there’ll be plenty to see and even the youngest visitor will be able to get a great view on the woodland webcam. Rockingham Castle Jousting and Medieval Living History Village Sunday 18th June The Knights of Nottingham and the Oxford Household make a thrilling return to Rockingham Castle. With baronial banners streaming, the glint of the sun on steel bladed swords and axes, the armoured knights will fight it out on horseback and on foot. The Black Knight has come to do battle and he intends to win at any cost. Out in the arenathere will be displays by armour clad warriors of sword and pike drill, skill-at-arms and combat prior to the jousters taking the field. Audience participation is expected!
